Middle School Chorus

For now, keep practicing the music. I’ll be adding new videos hopefully by the end of the week. Also feel free to pick and practice your own songs! If you search song title karaoke, on YouTube, you can often find backing tracks that are fun to sing with. I recommend singing for 10-15min chunks a few times a day. Notice I didn’t limit that to practicing. All healthy, focused singing counts, no matter the music!

I am working on the logistics of setting up a “Virtual Choir,” where you record yourself singing along with the practice track, and then I stitch it all together. You can see a cool example here. It’s a lot of fun, and zero stress since nobody hears you singing solo. https://youtu.be/V3rRaL-Czxw

We also might be able to make a sectional or even rehearsal work on Zoom. Some music teachers say it works, others say it’s too sluggish. I’m sure it depends on how good the internet is!

I’m more than happy to provide you with feedback (ie. singing lessons) over video chat or if you record yourself. I won’t require you to, but it’s an option to make the most of this!

Stay tuned to Google Classroom for announcements on our next steps as we embark on this adventure!
